Our Client, an innovative and pioneering world leader based in Buckinghamshire is recruiting for a General Ledger Manager to head the Group’s operations across Europe.
Reporting into the European Shared Services Director you will have full responsibility for the GL department and the integrity of the general ledger (adjustments and reconciliations), treasury activities (supported by corporate treasury) the month-end close process, year-end statutory reporting (inc audit and SOX), and other compliance including VAT and Corporation tax reporting.
Strong leadership skills will be required to motivate and support the European Shared Services Centre General Ledger team with responsibility for Head Office Reporting, General Ledger, Local Entity Accounting and Reporting, Fixed Assets, Banking & Indirect Tax Accounting, Goal setting, performance management, appraisal and mentoring. You will participate in European finance management team meetings and contribute to pan-European and worldwide initiatives.
You will also work to achieve top quartile standards as benchmarked against other financial shared service operations, by continually looking to improve service levels, improve the control environment and reduce costs.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with proven leadership skills and demonstrable experience in a shared service environment. You will have had international exposure and be a results and change focused individual.
